Saffron agrotourism; Sustainable economic developer

Agricultural tourism (agritourism) can play an important role in the economy of a region and in promoting its agricultural products. This concept, which may be new and sometimes unfamiliar to the general public, can be expanded as one of the strongest types of tourism in the world. In a short glance, if we look at Iran, we will notice the existence of different climates with agricultural products and their different cultivation conditions; Now, if we extend the same concept to the whole world, we will realize the huge capacity of different types of climates and products.

What is important here is that there is probably a product on the other side of the world that can be grown and cultivated with the climate of different regions of Iran. Therefore, if we can develop this huge capacity in our own country along with other countries, we will have an important platform for the development of the oil-free economy.

OSEC club, with the knowledge of the existing capacities in the saffron-rich regions of the country in the field of tourism development and in line with the strengthening of the economy of these regions and also to introduce saffron as a strategic agricultural product for the country of Iran, implemented the saffron agro-tourism program in Torbet Heydarieh, as a main region of saffron in the world, with the presence of Mohammad Beheshti, the head of the representative office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the east and north of the country, along with a group of national entrepreneurs.

In this event, while getting acquainted with the agricultural activities of the saffron area, the tourists got to know closely the process of planting and harvesting the saffron crop, life in fields and agricultural areas, as well as investment opportunities in the red gold area of Iran.
According to UNESCO criteria, Iran is one of the ten largest countries in the world in terms of having tourist attractions and ranks eighty-ninth in attracting foreign exchange income from tourism, which shows little attention to the use of nature tourism opportunities, especially in the field of agriculture in Iran.
The OSEC club intends to develop agricultural tourism in the saffron-rich regions of the country, while increasing awareness and culturalization of appropriate interactions with saffron tourists, and provide the necessary grounds by creating suitable facilities to facilitate the entry and settlement of tourists in different seasons.
