According to OSEC public relations, Hujjatul–Islam wal Muslimeen Hassan Rouhani, on Monday evening, on the ninth day of Fajr decade, during the video conference connection at the opening ceremony of several projects in the field of saffron and the first innovation factory of the saffron value chain, regarding the International Organization for Saffron Management in Torbat Heydarieh and Mashhad, stated: the formation of this organization and establishing coordination among all saffron exporting countries is important and we believe that Iran’s position in the field of saffron production should reach the required position.
He stated that Iran’s saffron product is packaged and sold in the name of other countries after export, and continued: The formation of this organization can bring Iran to a real position in the field of saffron.
The president of Iran stated that saffron growers in the country, especially in Razavi Khorasan, have a great place and importance due to the history and centrality of planting this crop in this region.
It should be mentioned that the unveiling of three projects of the organization of saffron producing and exporting countries (OSEC), Iran’s national souvenirs project, and the country’s industries counter office project in Mashhad was another part of the video conference communication ceremony with the president.
